Why do you volunteer at Healthwatch?

Ibrahim tells us that volunteering at Healthwatch has been "very brilliant and rewarding". Volunteering as a Digital Champion, helping people learn more about digital activities and feel safe online, has helped him to gain new experiences and useful skills to add to his CV.

As a student mental health nurse, he values the flexibility he is afforded at Healthwatch because he can volunteer from home and on days that are convenient.

I feel included and welcomed by the staff and I've also noticed staff members using different kinds of verbal and non-verbal communication skills when working with residents. I believe this is a very good opportunity to gain new skills and enhance my knowledge of how to care for patients with compassion and empathy. This will definitely help me to become a good nurse in the future.
