Our workplan for 2017/2018

Aim Status Notes
We will gather views from users of mental health day services to help ensure that the future design of mental health preventative services is informed by service user feedback Complete Report published September 2017
We will speak to users of re-ablement services about their experience in order to assess the person-centred nature of re-ablement services Ongoing


We will consider how to help reduce isolation for older people. We will speak to users of day services, and to older people who don't use day services, to find out how day services could be more inclusive Not started  
To engage parents we will train parent champions to promote Early Years services and to mystery shop those services. We will also work with Bright Beginnings (which supports pregnant women and new mothers from local refugee and migrant communities) to champion the needs of new parents Ongoing  
We will continue to support the Islington Patient Group on behalf of Islington Clinical Commissioning Group Ongoing We will deliver two meetings and a series of focus groups. The second meeting takes place on 22 November 2017
We will work with London Metropolitan University students to gather research to feed in to the Joint Strategic needs Assessment  Ongoing We are piloting a volunteering programme with the university's Health and Social Care/ Public Health students
We will explore ways for the views of children and young people to be included in commissioning  Ongoing  
We will train volunteers to mystery shop accessibility of health services for people with autism. We will build on this activity to assess how providers are meeting the Accessible Information Standard  Not started


We will establish links with befriending organisations, particularly in relation to visits to care homes  Ongoing


We will influence commissioning, including Sustainability and Transformation Plans and the development of Care Closer to Home Networks by working to ensure that residents' voices feed into this planning and that there is genuine service user engagement  Ongoing  
We will offer a positive volunteering experience to our team of volunteers. We will also try to achieve the Investing in Volunteers Quality Mark.  Ongoing
